Klagenfurt Goalkeeper Talent Returns to 2. Liga
FAC signs promising goalkeeper prospect on Deadline Day.
Alexander Turkin is leaving SK Austria Klagenfurt to join Floridsdorfer AC.
The Viennese club officially announced this on Thursday. The 19-year-old goalkeeper joins on a free transfer from the relegated ADMIRAL 2. Liga team, where he had terminated his contract in August due to unpaid wages.
FAC Sporting Director Lukas Fischer stated: "With Alex, we have succeeded in bringing another young goalkeeper with great potential to Floridsdorf. He completes our goalkeeping team, and we look forward to working with him for the next two years."
Turkin had moved from FK Austria Wien's youth academy to the Waidmannsdorf-based club in the summer of 2021.
He made six 2. Liga appearances for the Carinthians last season. At FAC, Turkin is expected to be second choice behind the 18-year-old first-choice goalkeeper Paul Pius Scharner.
