Austria Salzburg Likely Sign Former Red Bull Salzburg Talent
Austria Salzburg are on the verge of signing a new defensive player. A key player, however, is set to leave the club.
Austria Salzburg are preparing for the upcoming LigaZwa season.
Raphael Hofer is expected to join from NS Mura on a free transfer. The defensive player had previously played on loan in Austria for BW Linz and TSV Hartberg.
The 23-year-old also spent several years in the Red Bull Salzburg youth setup and already gained extensive LigaZwa experience at FC Liefering.
At Austria, he is planned for central defense. This is reported by "Krone".
Key Player Leaves Austria
Sebastian Aigner, however, will not extend his expiring contract and will look for a new challenge elsewhere.
Additionally, after the departure of Daniel Bares and Yannic Fötschl's torn ACL, Salzburg are still looking for a new striker.
