Right on time for the start of the new football season, LAOLA1 and OneFootball are entering into a strategic partnership, making LAOLA1 available immediately on "OneFootball Channels".

At the heart of this collaboration is the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, whose exclusive media rights Austria's largest sports publisher has held for eight years and will continue to hold in the coming years.

For fans, this cooperation primarily means one thing: experiencing LigaZwa will become even more comfortable and attractive.

With the new subscription models – from match tickets to monthly subscriptions that can be cancelled at any time, all the way to the season pass for just EUR 49.99 – fans will find the right offer for their needs.

LigaZwa Also on Smart TV

The season pass now receives a real upgrade thanks to the cooperation with OneFootball: all games of the season can now also be experienced on Smart TV. This is made possible by the OneFootball TV application, which is available for download on the most common operating systems from Amazon (Fire TV), Google (Chromecast), Apple (Apple TV), as well as Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS).

After purchasing on www.laola1.at, season subscribers automatically receive their personal activation code for LAOLA1 and simple instructions for redemption on tv.onefootball.com. This way, games can be enjoyed on their connected TV within a very short time – in a highly relevant digital environment, side by side with Sky Sport, MagentaSport, or Sportdigital FUSSBALL.

“We are thus fulfilling a major and entirely justified wish of our community,” says Johannes Wiesmann, Head of Content & Product at LAOLA1. “As the digital home for LigaZwa fans, our goal was to consistently develop the user experience – regardless of whether on a smartphone, laptop, or Smart TV. We have achieved exactly that with the partnership with OneFootball.”

Further innovations aimed at improving quality include match commentary for all games, the individual multi-view conference, and an extensive highlight offensive across the channels of LAOLA1, the league, the clubs, and also the players.

“We are pleased to have gained LAOLA1 for OneFootball Channels, and to be able to expand both the visibility and reach of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga through our interactive ChannelStore in more than 75 countries, as well as to offer the additional component of availability on connected TVs to our community and LAOLA1's direct customers,” adds Yannick Ramcke, General Manager OTT at OneFootball.

Additional International Visibility for Austrian Football

However, the cooperation with OneFootball goes far beyond Smart TV integration: in the future, live games of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga as well as other free content from LAOLA1 will be distributed worldwide via OneFootball TV.

This gives Austrian football additional international visibility on one of the largest digital football platforms in the world – with a community of over 200 million fans. In addition to video content, written reports from LAOLA1 on the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, and the Austrian national teams will also be published on the LAOLA1 channel on OneFootball.

“It is our aspiration to offer our digital content precisely where football fans get their information. Whether on social media or media platforms – we want to make our content available wherever our target audience is,” explains Wiesmann. “OneFootball is the ideal partner for this: together, we improve the experience for our existing users and at the same time make Austrian football visible to new target groups.”

With this strategic partnership, LAOLA1 and OneFootball are taking an important step in their shared mission to make Austrian football even more digitally accessible, visible, and attractive.
