Solo Performance: Ndukwe Plays Full 90 in Liverpool's Friendly Win

The Austrian talent was the only player for FC Liverpool to play the full 90 minutes.

Many stars for the "Reds" are still on holiday after the World Cup or are just starting their pre-season preparations. Ifeanyi Ndukwe was on the pitch with, among others, former Salzburg player Dominik Szoboszlai, but unlike him, Ndukwe was allowed to play the full match. Ndukwe delivered a solid performance and had a total of 99 touches with a passing accuracy of 90%.

Liverpool likely wants to deliberately give the young defender significant playing time to showcase him to other clubs. As the 18-year-old does not have enough points for a work permit in the Premier League, he must be loaned abroad in the upcoming season.

The winning goal for FC Liverpool was scored by the just 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha after an assist from Szoboszlai in the 75th minute.
