It could potentially be Brignone's last. The 36-year-old skier, who celebrated an absolute dream comeback at the 2026 Olympic Games, winning gold in both Super-G and giant slalom, is still battling constant pain.

"My body will never fully recover from it," she explained to "L'Equipe" in July. The background is the severe fall at the Italian Championships in 2025, in which she sustained complex fractures to her tibia and fibula, as well as a torn ACL.

Becoming a Mom is a Big Dream

Shortly before the end of her active career, the seasoned skier's focus is gradually shifting towards family planning.

"Becoming a mom is one of my biggest dreams," she explained in an interview with "Corriere della Sera".

However, the process will not be rushed: "It's impossible to become a mom as long as I am still an athlete."

A wedding, which she does not count among her "dreams," plays no role in her plans. One wonders if boyfriend James Mbaye enjoys hearing that?

The relationship with the ex-basketball player and model is no longer a secret. "Someone didn't mind their own business, and that still annoys me today," the Italian expressed, irritated by the leak of her relationship.

If it were up to her, not much of her private life would become public: "I am and will remain private: no one will find out anything about James and me."
