"Just Made It": Former Ski World Champion Ties the Knot in a Hurry
Maria Therese Tviberg announced her pregnancy in early June, followed by her engagement – and now, her wedding.
Maria Therese Tviberg is currently moving at a similarly rapid pace in her private life as she once did on the ski slopes.
Only at the beginning of June, the 32-year-old Norwegian announced that she was expecting her first child, shortly followed by her engagement to her partner Sindre Moeen Paulseth - and now the two are already married.
"We just made it before our little darling arrives in August," Tviberg writes on Instagram alongside photos of the civil ceremony, adding: "The actual celebration will have to wait a little longer."
Retired Two Years Ago
Tviberg officially retired from the Alpine Ski World Cup in September 2024.
This followed a year after her greatest career success: At the 2023 World Championships in Courchevel/Meribel, she became World Champion in the parallel event.
Additionally, the Norwegian secured Olympic bronze in 2022 in the team event, and World Championship silver in 2023 in the team event.
