Bergisel winner becomes a father for the first time

Japanese ski jumper Ren Nikaido completed the most successful winter of his career in 2026.
Privately, everything is currently running smoothly for the 25-year-old: As Nikaido announced via Instagram, he has become a father for the first time: "We welcomed a new family member."
Five Medals and First World Cup Victory
Nikaido had only married shortly before the Winter Games in Predazzo, and at the Olympics, he then won silver on the large hill and a bronze medal each in the normal hill individual and the mixed team event.
Previously, he won his first World Cup jump during the Four Hills Tournament in Innsbruck, and he finished fourth in the overall World Cup.
In addition, Nikaido won gold with the Japanese team at the 2026 Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf, and he flew to bronze in the individual event.
