Rossignol? "Had no confidence in the skis"
Slovenian technical specialist Zan Kranjec has parted ways with Rossignol after 19 years together – now he talks about the reasons.
Zan Kranjec used Rossignol skis for a full 19 years. However, this long-standing partnership came to an end this year.
Speaking to "skiracing.com," the Slovenian now explains what prompted this move: "I had no confidence in the skis and ultimately not in myself to really push to the limit."
Therefore, making another change and trying out different equipment was an obvious choice.
Immediate good feeling with new skis
The 33-year-old ultimately found a home with Nordica. "Many told me I probably wouldn't feel good at first. But I felt good almost immediately," Kranjec reveals, thrilled after the first test runs in Pozza di Fassa.
With this good feeling, Kranjec aims to attack the podium ranks in giant slalom again – last season, sixth place in Copper Mountain was the best he could achieve.
In seven of nine World Cup giant slaloms, he failed to make it into the top 10. "I don't enjoy racing when I perform like I did last season," Kranjec stated clearly.
