Tennis today: Lilli Tagger - Harriet Dart in the Gunagzhou Final
The 18-year-old Tyrolean can secure the second WTA title of her still young career in China. LIVE Updates:
Showdown in Gunagzhou!
Lilli Tagger is fighting for the title at the WTA 250 hard court tournament in China on Sunday (from 9:30 AM in the LIVE ticker). In the final, the 18-year-old East Tyrolean is the favorite.
Her opponent Harriet Dart from Great Britain is only world number 115. In contrast, fourth-seeded Tagger is ranked 53rd in the world.
For Tagger, it's not just about the second title of her career on the WTA Tour, after already winning the WTA 250 in Prague this year, but also about a new career-high in the world rankings. With a final victory, she would reach the Top 43 for the first time.
