Final! Grabher chases second season title
The Vorarlberg native is in the final of the Challenger in Curitiba. There, she could celebrate her second tournament victory this year, after Tolentino.
Julia Grabher reaches the final of the WTA-125 Challenger in Curitiba.
In the Brazilian metropolis, the 30-year-old comfortably won her semifinal against Julia Riera (WTA-140.) from Argentina with 6:3, 6:3.
In the first set, a break for the Vorarlberg native to 4:2 was enough, and she subsequently served out successfully.
Third Final of 2026
Grabher started the second set with two breaks, one of which Riera managed to get back.
A break to 5:2 allowed her to secure her spot in the final on her own serve. However, the Argentine didn't give up, breaking Grabher's serve to make it 5:3. But with a love game on Riera's serve, the Austrian secured her third final of 2026.
There, she awaits either the 16-year-old local player Nauhany Vitoria Leme da Silva (WTA-609.) or the Frenchwoman Alice Tubello (WTA-207.).
