Lilli Tagger has been waiting for almost two months for a win on the WTA Tour. Will this losing streak end on Monday (from 4:30 AM in the LIVE ticker) in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Osaka?

Tagger (WTA-55) will face fifth-seeded Czech Liudmila Samsonova (WTA-43) in the opening match of the hardcourt tournament in Japan.

The two last met in the round of 16 at the clay-court tournament in Linz in 2026 - with Tagger coming out on top.

The 18-year-old East Tyrolean wants to secure her first match win since the US Open in Osaka, when she defeated Germany's Tamara Korpatsch in round one.
