The 24-year-old comfortably defeated Japan's Momoko Kobori (WTA-389.) with a score of 6:1, 3:6, 6:2.

Only in the second set, after a 2-0 lead, did Kraus experience a weak phase, during which she was broken a total of four times, ultimately leading to Kobori winning the set.
