Clear Real victory thanks to Güler wonder goal and Mbappé brace
The dress rehearsal for El Clásico was successful: In the absence of Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid celebrates a clear victory against Sevilla.
Real Madrid defeats FC Sevilla 4-1 on the ninth matchday of the Spanish La Liga.
From the outset, Mourinho's XI, without the red-carded Vinicius Junior, was dominant and rewarded themselves early.
Arda Güler scored the opening goal in the 30th minute after an assist from Diomande, with a wonder goal from the edge of the box.
Just seven minutes later, Kylian Mbappé added to the tally. The Frenchman impressively controlled the ball on the turn and slotted it home for 2-0 when alone in front of goal (37th minute).
Diomande Impresses
After the break, Diomande had a good scoring opportunity, but he shot wide after receiving a pass from Mbappé (59th minute).
Mbappé himself did better shortly after. The Frenchman could only be stopped by a foul, prompting the referee to point to the penalty spot. Mbappé confidently converted the resulting penalty kick.
Manu Bueno was still able to score the 3-1 consolation goal in the 80th minute after Mbappé lost possession.
But Real Madrid had the final say. After a fantastic solo run, Diomande scored the 4-1 final goal with a great shot into the near corner.
