The match started quite successfully for Tagger, who immediately secured a 1-0 lead with a break, but then failed to hold her own serve.

The world No. 42 found her rhythm better in the match, winning three consecutive points to pull ahead 3-1. The 18-year-old had significant difficulties with her serve and ultimately had to concede the first set 2:6 to the significantly more aggressive Czech player.
Tagger's opponent also dominated the second set, with Bejlek's return game giving her a clear advantage. At 2:2, the 20-year-old pulled away and again prevailed 6:2. After one hour and eleven minutes, the match concluded with a clear winner.
