The fairy tale of Arthur Fery at Wimbledon 2026 continues.

The British local hero, who was ranked 114th in the ATP world rankings before the tournament and is only in the main draw thanks to a wildcard, sensationally reaches the semifinals in London.

In the quarter-finals, the 23-year-old clearly defeats French Open finalist Flavio Cobolli 6:4, 7:6 (4), 6:0 in three sets. Fery had previously eliminated Grigor Dimitrov, Zizou Bergs, and Shelton-conqueror Otto Virtanen from the competition.

Zverev Defeats Nemesis Fritz

In the semifinals, Fery now awaits French Open champion Alexander Zverev. The German confidently defeats his actual nemesis Taylor Fritz with a 6:4, 6:4, 6:2 scoreline.

Thus, the Hamburg native can continue to dream of his first Wimbledon title. In the second semifinal, there will be a blockbuster clash between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.

Kostyuk Marches into Semifinals

In the women's draw, Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk has swiftly reached the semifinals of the grass-court classic for the first time.

In 69 minutes, the world No. 13 defeated 2024 Italian finalist Jasmine Paolini 6:3, 6:2.

Kostyuk, who recently booked her first Major semifinal in Paris, will now face 21-year-old Czech Linda Noskova, who eliminated Belgium's Elise Mertens 6:3, 7:5.

For Noskova, ranked 12th in the world (one spot behind Kostyuk), it is her first time reaching the penultimate round of one of the four most important tennis tournaments.

Kostyuk had achieved this for the first time in early June, but had to concede defeat to eventual tournament winner Mirra Andreeva at the French Open with a 1:6, 3:6 scoreline. In the other semifinal, US star Coco Gauff and Czech Karolina Muchova will face each other.
