Anna Pircher makes her debut!

The Austrian tennis top talent will play her first match in a Grand Slam girls' main draw on Sunday (from approx. 1:15 PM in the LIVE ticker).

In the first round of Wimbledon, she will face 15-year-old Sofia Bielinska. The Ukrainian is already ranked 1197th in the WTA women's world rankings.

Talent already proven at senior level

However, that places her behind Pircher, who, despite being 16, is already ranked 903rd in the senior world rankings. Among other achievements, the then 15-year-old Pircher reached the semifinals of the W75 tournament in Vienna last year.

The Tyrolean had never before competed at the girls' Grand Slam level. At Wimbledon, Pircher successfully fought her way through qualification after victories over Marianne Angel and Mailuodi Lei.
