VRAC 2026: Virtual Reality Tennis Thrills Oberpullendorf

The second edition of the Virtual Reality Austrian Championships (VRAC) has successfully concluded!

In a joint collaboration with the Austrian Tennis Association (ÖTV) and Tennis Esports, Sporthotel Kurz in Oberpullendorf was transformed into a meeting point for tennis and esports fans on July 4 and 5, 2026, as part of the ÖTV National Championships.

Some visitors took the opportunity to experience tennis in a completely new dimension.

Exciting Final Day

On the final day, the two qualifiers delivered a high-class duel in a best-of-three format. In front of several spectators, an exciting final unfolded, in which Ferdinand Grassl ultimately prevailed against Marcel Jelinek.

With the title win, Ferdinand Grassl secured not only the Austrian National Championship title in VR tennis but also a ticket to the World Tennis Esports Championships (WTEC).

The successful collaboration between Tennis Esports and the Austrian Tennis Association (ÖTV) underscores the shared goal of further developing the sport of tennis through innovative formats and establishing Virtual Reality as a pioneering addition to classic competitive sports in Austria.
