Unlucky! End of the line for Rodionov in second Wimbledon qualifying round
The Austrian had to concede defeat after around two hours against a Swiss opponent. This means four Austrians will be represented in the main draw.
With Jurij Rodionov (ATP-139.), the last Austrian contender in Wimbledon qualifying also exits on Wednesday.
The Lower Austrian surprisingly lost in the second round to Swiss Remy Bertola (ATP-187.) 6:4,6:7(4),2:6.
Lukas Neumayer, Joel Schwärzler and Julia Grabher had already been eliminated earlier.
Four Austrians in the Main Draw
Austria is thus confirmed to have four players represented: In the women's draw with Anastasia Potapova, Lilli Tagger, Sinja Kraus, and in the men's draw with Sebastian Ofner.
The qualifying matches, including Rodionov's, were suspended for an extended period on Wednesday for an unusual reason: The electronic line-calling system, only introduced last year, had failed.
