Sebastian Sorger falls in the Round of 16 at the Plovdiv Challenger!

After the Austrian (ATP_479) had previously surprisingly eliminated Sandro Kopp, the 20-year-old now loses to Petr Nesterov (BUL/ATP-364). He loses 4:6, 6:7 (5).

The match begins with a game for Sorger, but he subsequently has to give up two games. After 2:2, the world No. 479 lets his opponent pull away to 2:4, but manages to close the gap again with the next game win; however, a comeback is no longer possible. Nesterov wins the first set 6:4.

Tight Contest in the Second Set

Both players then struggle with their own serve. Sorger immediately falls behind after a break, but then manages to get the re-break.

This time too, he loses his rhythm a bit from 2:2, but then finds his way back into the game and turns 2:4 into 4:4.

The match remains very close towards the end. Ultimately, however, the Bulgarian prevails in the tie-break 7:6(5).

After 2 hours and 19 minutes, the world No. 364 is in the Round of 16. In the quarterfinals, he will face his compatriot Adrian Andreev.
