Hauptbahnhof: 3x3 Tour Austria Ahead of Final

This weekend (August 8-9), the 3x3 Tour Austria will experience its season highlight with the grand final showdown on the forecourt of BahnhofCity at Vienna's Hauptbahnhof.

After an intense summer with eight tournaments from the marketplace in Dornbirn to Rathausplatz in Vienna, the best six teams from the regular season and six wildcard teams will compete for the title in the biggest domestic tournament series.

For the winner of the men's competition on Saturday, a ticket for the World Tour Masters in Deqing, China (September 26-27), is up for grabs. Team Vienna is the favorite.

On Sunday, to conclude the two-day basketball festival in front of the ÖBB headquarters, the finals of the women's and U21 series will also take place – cool beats, live acts, and prize draws included. basketballaustria.tv will broadcast both days live.

Team Vienna as Favorites

Almost exactly two months after the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, as part of 3x3 VIENNA presented by win2day, captivated the crowds at Heumarkt, Austria's 3x3 scene is eagerly awaiting its second major season highlight.

Starting at 1:00 PM, six wildcard teams will be joined by the six teams that qualified via the season standings. These include the two-time Tour Stop winners from 3x3 Tulln – the selection featuring (former) junior national players Yann Grandperret, Elvir Jakupovic, Janis Tomaschek, and Elias Wlasak, who won the tournaments in Enns and Tulln – 3x3 Wolves, 3x3 Klosterneuburg, and 3x3 Stock City Blue from Stockerau, who triumphed in Salzburg.

However, the favorite role for the season highlight belongs to Austria's only professional 3x3 team. Team Vienna, featuring Nico Kaltenbrunner and Toni Blazan among others, is hunting for the Masters ticket.

In addition to basketball, fans can look forward to two days of cool beats, refreshing drinks, prize draws, and a live act. On Saturday at 7:30 PM, the popular Viennese DJ duo MÖWE will perform live on the forecourt of Vienna's BahnhofCity.

Women's and U21 Teams on Sunday

Those who can't get enough of the legendary 3x3 flair in the heart of "Europe's 3x3 capital" can also enjoy it on Sunday (from 1:00 PM). After the men's decision, the city's hottest halfcourt will belong to the season's best women's and U21 teams.
