Novak Djokovic Throws Up and Eliminated in Cincinnati
The 39-year-old Serb's run at the ATP-1000 event in the USA is a short one.
For Novak Djokovic, the ATP-1000 hardcourt tournament in Cincinnati ended already in the first round.
The record Grand Slam winner lost to 25-year-old Argentinian Thiago Agustin Tirante (ATP-50.) with a score of 6:2, 4:6, 4:6.
In his first match in Cincinnati this year, Djokovic visibly struggled with the intense heat. During a medical timeout in the second set, he even had to vomit.
It was the 39-year-old Serb's first match on tour since his semifinal exit at Wimbledon against Jannik Sinner several weeks ago. It was also Djokovic's last appearance before the US Open, which begins at the end of the month.
