Carlos Alcaraz's journey at the ATP-1000 tournament in Shanghai has already concluded in the round of 32.
The 23-year-old lost to Belgian Zizou Bergs in two sets, 5:7, 6:7(4). For Bergs, currently ranked 39th in the ATP world rankings, it marks the biggest victory of his career so far.
Just last Tuesday, Alcaraz had won the Japan Open in Asia. Bergs played for Belgium in the Davis Cup in September against two Austrians. The 27-year-old managed to defeat Lukas Neumayer, but suffered a loss against Jurij Rodionov.
In the round of 16 in China, Bergs will now face the winner of the match between Valentin Vacherot and Tommy Paul.
