In the NFL London Game, the match between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans (31:34) started anything but according to plan. Early in the game, there was already the first injury timeout.

However, none of the players were involved. Referee Larry Smith slipped on the wet turf at Wembley Stadium and had to be carted off the field shortly after.

The bizarre scene occurred between plays. Smith initially got back up, limped for a moment, and then went back down.

Principal in Kansas City

Since Smith could not continue the game, the match was played with six instead of the usual seven officials.

This is only Smith's second year in the NFL. When he is not working as a referee on the football field, Smith works as a principal in Kansas City.
