AFBÖ secures renowned partner

The American Football Federation Austria (AFBÖ) and Adidas are joining forces with immediate effect.

The brand from Herzogenaurach will become the new official outfitter of the Austrian Football Federation, equipping all national teams in Flag Football and Tackle Football with competition, travel, and training apparel, as well as accessories.

The cooperation will be further complemented in the future by the football-specific adizero footwear line, which was specially developed for the demands of the sport.

Together, both partners aim to further develop the sport of football in Austria and to provide the national teams with professional conditions for their future endeavors.

Focus Already on Flag Football World Championship

The start of the cooperation intentionally coincides with a phase in which Flag Football is experiencing a historical surge worldwide. With the World Championship taking place from August 13 to 16 in Düsseldorf, the sport's largest international tournament to date will be held this summer.

At the same time, qualification spots for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles will be awarded there for the first time. Following their strong international performances in recent years, Austria's national teams can legitimately hope for successful qualification.

International Uniqueness

The collaboration between adidas and the AFBÖ extends beyond equipping the national teams. Together, both partners aim to sustainably strengthen the entire sport of football in Austria, increase its relevance, and actively support its positive development.

Both Flag Football and Tackle Football, as well as youth and grassroots sports, are expected to benefit from this.

At the same time, the partnership also marks a special step internationally. As it stands, the AFBÖ is the first European American Football Federation to enter into a comprehensive outfitter partnership with adidas.
