Shock! Pogacar's biggest rival crashes out of the Tour de France

The Tour de France is rocked by a major shock on Sunday.

Jonas Vingegaard suffered a heavy crash on the 15th stage, about 20 kilometers before the finish, at a roundabout. Among others, Felix Großschartner and Isaac Del Toro were also involved.

While the UAE teammates of general classification leader Tadej Pogacar were able to continue their ride, the Tour ends for the Danish superstar at this point.

The winner of this year's Giro d'Italia is holding his right shoulder, and medical personnel are immediately at his side. The affected arm is placed in a sling, and Vingegaard is then taken to a vehicle.

In the general classification, the 29-year-old was in second place, 4:30 minutes behind Pogacar. Vingegaard won the Tour de France in 2022 and 2023. This year he was competing in the French Grand Tour for the tenth time.
