However, the competition didn't make it easy for him. The young Italian battled with Charles Leclerc for a long time but overtook the Ferrari driver in the final phase after Eau Rouge.
Verstappen Takes Third Place
The podium is completed by Max Verstappen. The Dutchman held onto third place just ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
Oscar Piastri finishes fifth, ahead of Isack Hadjar (6th) and Lando Norris (7th). Gabriel Bortoleto (8th), Arvid Lindblad (9th), and Franco Colapinto (10th) also score points.
Championship runner-up George Russell collided with former teammate Lewis Hamilton already on lap one and retired from the race.
