Pogacar is back on the bike
Top star Tadej Pogacar, who crashed at the Vuelta, is already back in the saddle. The Slovenian shares private insights into his rehab.
Tadej Pogacar suffered a severe crash at the Vuelta and had to abandon the Grand Tour. The Slovenian sustained a concussion, a fractured collarbone, and a fractured cervical vertebra.
On stage 8 of the Vuelta at the end of August, the Tour de France winner had to withdraw due to injury. Now he is sharing private insights into his rehabilitation on Instagram.
"Not quite how we planned to spend September," Pogacar writes. The videos show that the 27-year-old is already back on the bike and working on his comeback.
However, he will still miss the UCI Road World Championships from September 20-27 in Montreal. At the beginning of September, Pogacar extended his contract with UAE Team Emirates - XRG until 2032.
