Liverpool are in the round of 16 of the EFL Cup. They secured a 3-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.

Mac Allister (21') and Gakpo (54') established the lead, even if the final phase became tense with a goal from Gallagher (69'). Szoboszlai sealed the victory in injury time (90'+1).

Dominant "Gunners"

Arsenal were on course for a resounding victory at Ipswich Town, but after four goals by Dowman (7', 47'), Madueke (16') and Merino (58'), it was "only" a 4-2 win, as Mehmeti (62') and Akpom (90'+1) scored for the hosts.

Fulham prevailed 3-2 against West Ham United. Muniz (13') and Palacios (37') put the visitors ahead twice, but Morato (16') and Pablo (45'+2) equalized each time. Bobb (78') scored the decisive goal, while David Affengruber remained on the bench for 90 minutes.

Brentford prevailed 2-1 at Reading, while Peterborough and Barnsley drew 3-3 – Peterborough won the penalty shootout because Alker was the only one of the 14 kick-takers to miss.
