Max Verstappen Reportedly Set to Again Turn His Back on Formula 1
The Dutchman has ambitious plans for 2027. The multi-time world champion plans a return to endurance racing.
With 24 races, the Formula 1 calendar is already jam-packed.
Nevertheless, Max Verstappen also wants to compete in endurance racing again next year, as reported by the "Kronen Zeitung" among others.
"If good preparation is possible for me and it fits into the schedule, then I will do it," says Verstappen.
The 28-year-old already participated in this year's 24 Hours of Nürburgring race.

This year, he and his team were even on course for victory in the Mercedes-AMG GT3, before a defect prevented a good finish.
Since the 2027 race takes place on the last weekend of May, falling between the Formula 1 races in Montreal (May 23) and Monaco (July 6), the date even falls within a favorable period for the Red Bull driver.
The 24 Hours of Spa at the end of June is also an option for Verstappen. However, a start at the classic Le Mans race is currently not being considered.
