Red Bull Racing Confirms Driver Lineup for 2027

Just weeks after extending Max Verstappen's contract, Red Bull Racing is also providing clarity regarding the second cockpit.

Isack Hadjar will also compete for Red Bull Racing in the upcoming season. The team officially announced this on Wednesday. Red Bull did not provide details on the exact duration of the new contract.

After it was announced on Tuesday that the 21-year-old Frenchman would return to racing in Baku, today brings the next positive news.

Hadjar: "What a privilege to drive for such an incredible team"

"We are delighted to continue our journey with Isack. Since joining at the beginning of the year, he has performed exceptionally well both on and off the track – especially considering this is only his second Formula 1 season. Therefore, the decision to extend his contract was an easy one for us," CEO and Team Principal Laurent Mekies is quoted as saying in the press release.

Mekies praised Hadjar, saying he "integrated into the team from the start" and was in close communication "with his engineers to develop the car."

Hadjar himself is pleased with his team's appreciation: "I joined this team eight months ago and immediately recognized the scale and ambition of this organization. There are so many talented people at the factory, and you realize what a privilege it is to drive for such an incredible team alongside a four-time world champion like Max."
