25 Million Euros! Next Renovation at Red Bull Ring

Investment in infrastructure continues at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. The "Kleine Zeitung" reports on this.

Accordingly, construction work for changes in the VIP area started immediately after the MotoGP races in Spielberg. According to the report, the pit buildings will be expanded, and a rooftop terrace will be added to the upper floor, which houses a restaurant as well as event and office facilities.

This terrace will span the entire 250-meter length of the building, and will be covered and glazed. The four VIP tents that were previously located on the roof have already been auctioned off. Red Bull CEO Mark Mateschitz is investing 25 million Euros in the new permanent solution.

The Background

This investment is part of the contract conditions for the extension between Red Bull and Formula 1 marketer Liberty Media, which became known in 2025. As part of the extension of the Spielberg races until at least 2041, an improvement of the infrastructure was mandated.

The new VIP facilities are expected to be used for the first time next summer, with Formula 1 returning to Spielberg from July 9 to 11, 2027.
