Confirmed! Haas shows one of its drivers the door in 2027
His future in Formula 1 remains uncertain.
Esteban Ocon will no longer drive for Haas in Formula 1 in 2027. The Frenchman announced this himself.
The now 30-year-old Frenchman joined the US team in 2025 and is in his eleventh season in the "premier class".
"I leave this project with my head held high and proud of my performances, in circumstances that, for various reasons beyond my control, were not always easy," Ocon writes.
Ocon determined to continue
Even though his immediate future is still unresolved and not many cockpits are open for 2027, he remains convinced: "I am still motivated and hungry. This is not the end of my Formula 1 career."
Ocon has been racing in Formula 1 since 2016. In 2021, he secured a sensational victory with Alpine in Hungary, the greatest success of his career so far.
Formula 2 leader Rafael Camara (21/Brazil) is currently considered the favorite for the vacant Haas seat.
