LASK Duo Leaves ÖFB Camp - Ex-Sturm Goalkeeper Called Up
Following Veratschnig and Wanner, two more players depart. One of the withdrawals is due to injury.
The ÖFB squad faces further injury-related departures!
Now, LASK captain Sascha Horvath also has to leave the camp with a thigh injury. Paul Wanner (PSV) and Nikolas Veratschnig (Salzburg) had previously departed due to injury.
Vasilije Markovic (Austria) - and originally also Christian Zawieschitzky - were supposed to reinforce the U21 squad.
Salzburg Goalkeeper Out
LASK goalkeeper Lukas Jungwirth, however, is now moving to the U21 squad. "Due to a muscular problem in the adductor region, Zawieschitzky is not available to U21 head coach Peter Perchtold for the upcoming tasks. In his place, Lukas Jungwirth moves from the national team to the U21 squad," the ÖFB writes.
In return, a goalkeeper from the U21 squad joins. Ex-Sturm goalkeeper Matteo Bignetti (22) from Saarbrücken gets to prove himself for the first time in the A-team.
Most recently, the fit-again Bayern star Konrad Laimer also joined the squad.
