Rossi's Brace in High-Scoring Canucks Defeat

Marco Rossi scores again in his second NHL season game!

Against the Edmonton Oilers, the Vorarlberg native netted two goals, both in the third period (42nd & 45th minutes). Shortly after, Rossi even added an assist for Elias Petterson on the power play (48th minute). Despite Rossi's personal success, his team had nothing to show for it this time.

Four goals conceded in the first period meant a 0-4 score at the first intermission, and the Oilers added another four goals in the second period, with the Canucks only managing to cut the deficit to 3-8. The final score on the scoreboard was 7-9.

Vancouver's season opener was also a high-scoring affair, a 6-5 overtime victory over the Oilers.
