Another Win! Ljubljana Routs Fehervar
The Slovenians can celebrate a well-deserved victory. The game was effectively decided after just seven minutes.
Olimpija Ljubljana opens the second matchday of the win2day ICE Hockey League with a 6-2 away victory against Fehervar.
The Slovenians had a dream start! After just seven minutes, Ljubljana had already built a 3-0 lead in Hungary.
Nicolai Meyer scored a quick brace within 53 seconds (5th/6th). Ziga Jeglic then extended the lead to 3-0 (7th). Fehervar responded with an early goalie change, bringing AVS netminder Beni Halasz on for Rasmus Reijola. However, this only had a limited effect, as Nathanael Halbert increased the lead to 4-0 in the middle period (26th).

But the Hungarians didn't give up, scoring twice before the second intermission. Laszlo Farkas (32nd) and Trevor Cheek (40th) brought the home side back into the game before the second period siren.
However, a comeback was not to be. Rozle Bohinc (56th) and Marcel Mahkovec (58th) ultimately sealed the 6-2 final score in favor of the Slovenians.
Therefore, Ljubljana stands at a maximum of six points after two successful matches. Fehervar, on the other hand, suffers their first defeat after their overtime victory against Linz.
