Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken for the first time after Portugal's bitter World Cup exit against Spain (to the match report >>>).
"I will wake up tomorrow in the same mood as today. With a clear conscience, because I always give my best," Ronaldo explained after the match in the mixed zone. "I gave my best and leave with a clear conscience."
Despite the missed chance at the World Cup title, the superstar sees no reason to question his performances for Portugal.
"I've Won Three Titles"
The 41-year-old referred to the successes he achieved with the national team. "I have won three titles with Portugal. Before Cristiano, Portugal had not won a single title," Ronaldo said.
The 2016 European Championship, in particular, holds exceptional importance for him. "I won the biggest title in 2016 with the Euros. For me, this title is worth as much as the World Cup title," emphasized the Portuguese player.
