Rodri apologizes to Bernardo Silva after World Cup match
The Manchester City teammates clashed in stoppage time. Now Rodri asks for forgiveness.
Spain decided a memorable World Cup Round of 16 match against Portugal late in the final stages.
A scene in the seventh minute of stoppage time caused a stir. Bernardo Silva got a header from close range but put the ball a few centimeters over the crossbar, thus missing the potential equalizer.
Immediately afterwards, Rodri celebrated exuberantly over the missed chance. Bernardo Silva did not let that go and confronted his now former Manchester City teammate.
After the game, Rodri showed remorse: "I apologize to Bernardo Silva for celebrating his miss. It was my fault."
