Austria's U17 women have qualified for the second EURO qualification round!

Following a successful start against Italy, the young ÖFB squad also secured a dominant 4-1 victory in their second group match against Northern Ireland.

Ertl scored the first goal of the day in the 22nd minute. Just five minutes later, the Austrians were awarded a penalty after a foul on Karahasanovic. The fouled player stepped up herself and converted it to make it 2-0.

Austria Extends Lead After Halftime

After the break, the red-white-red squad continued in the same vein. Substitute Herdern increased the lead to 3-0 before Nagy added the fourth goal.

The Austrians allowed hardly any chances throughout the match; only via a penalty kick were the Northern Irish able to make it 4-1 in the third minute of injury time.

This means that the Haidbauer-led team has secured early qualification for the second round of the EURO 2027 qualifiers. The decisive matches will take place in spring.
