Wiener Sport-Club Celebrates Attendance Record
After the last home game of the year, Wiener Sport-Club can look back on a year with high attendance, even surpassing Bundesliga clubs in statistics.
Hernals, Vienna, draws thousands of football fans!
Although they couldn't win their last home game before the winter break, drawing 2-2 against Traiskirchen and narrowly missing out on the top spot, there was still cause for celebration.
Over 4,500 spectators attended Friday evening's top match in the Regionalliga Ost. This packed stadium resulted in an average of 3,600 fans per game. This figure was last reached in the 1986/87 Bundesliga season.
Higher Leagues in Sight
For comparison: With this attendance figure, they would rank third in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga for average home crowd statistics.
In the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the Hernals team would, based on the current season, even surpass WSG Tirol (1,821) and TSV Hartberg (3,179).
The next home game will not take place until February 26, 2027, against Mattersburg, and is also expected to be well-attended.
