After the forced relegation to the Regionalliga Süd, Austria Klagenfurt, with president Helmut Kaltenegger, originally had big plans.

They started with a win against Donau Klagenfurt (1:0), but then suffered a defeat against Treibach (1:3) and a Cup exit against Donau (1:2).

Kaltenegger is already "deeply disappointed." Speaking to the "Krone", he also rages about coach Slobodan Grubor: "The system doesn't fit, the youngsters are clueless."

Jancker Could Soon Take Over

The gold dealer is considering the return of a big name: "I spoke with coach Carsten Jancker – he is ready, I have his commitment. I would finance any player he wants for him."

The ex-Bayern professional took over Austria from Peter Pacult four matchdays before the end in 2025, and at the end of the season, relegation was confirmed.

In the past season, the German 2002 World Cup runner-up managed Oedt in the Regionalliga Mitte.
