Following England withdrawals: Glasner's player called up as replacement
After several withdrawals, the midfielder is back with the "Three Lions" for the first time in over a year.
Several well-known English players have withdrawn from the upcoming international matches.
In addition to Cole Palmer, who withdrew due to load management, Declan Rice, Tino Livramento, Marcus Rashford, and Kobbie Mainoo will also miss the upcoming Nations League matches for the "Three Lions".
Instead of the five players who withdrew, Thomas Tuchel has called up only two replacements. James Garner from Everton FC and Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest join the squad.
Key player under Glasner
While Garner was last in the England squad in March, it is Glasner's player Gibbs-White's first call-up in over a year. He played his last of six international matches last October.
He is proving how important the 26-year-old midfielder can be at Nottingham. Under the Austrian, Gibbs-White has not missed a single Premier League minute this season.
In the five games where he consistently captained the team, he scored one goal and provided two assists.
