Chelsea's Cole Palmer Reportedly Declines England Call-Up

Cole Palmer is reportedly set to withdraw from the upcoming Nations League matches with the English national team. This is reported by "The Athletic".

The Chelsea attacking player is expected to decline manager Thomas Tuchel due to workload management reasons. Palmer was most recently in action for 90 minutes last weekend in the Premier League during the 0-3 defeat against Brentford. This season, he has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven competitive appearances.

Last season, the 24-year-old was sidelined for several weeks due to injury and was not part of England's World Cup squad. Palmer played his last international match in March against Japan.

The Manchester United duo of Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford could also be missing from England's 27-man squad.
