UEFA: "FIFA must not use sport to enrich itself"

"We learned today that FIFA has given associations a deadline by which they must support its proposals, otherwise the offer of a one-time payout will be withdrawn," UEFA writes in a statement.
Specifically, member associations must agree to FIFA's plan by September 19. "That already tells you everything you need to know about this plan," the association adds. A simple majority would be enough to implement the idea.
Emergency Meeting Planned
In addition to Josef Pröll , many other critics have already spoken out. UEFA also clearly emphasizes: "FIFA must not continue to use our sport to enrich itself and its allies. We can develop the sport in the right way. It is time to prioritize associations, clubs, leagues, players, and fans."
According to French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari , an emergency meeting of UEFA is planned for Wednesday.
