Before Cup Clash against Austria: Regional League Side Parts Ways with Coach
The club had started the season as a title contender, but currently sits in mid-table with eight points from five games.
Major shake-up in the Regionalliga Ost!
FCM Traiskirchen and Thomas Darazs have "mutually agreed to terminate their cooperation." The regional league side officially announced this on Monday.
Although the start to the season with eight points from five games didn't go as desired, the separation comes as a surprise. Last season, after taking over, he led the regional league team to a points record.
Darazs stated to "NÖN" that the reason for the separation was "differing views on sporting direction". During his entire tenure at FCM Traiskirchen, the former LASK coach achieved an average of 1.86 points per game.
Thus, the eighth-placed team in the Regionalliga Ost finds itself without a coach immediately before their season highlight match against FK Austria Wien in the second round of the ÖFB Cup (Saturday, 5:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
