No longer Lichtenwörth! Dominic Thiem switches football club
The former tennis pro leaves Lichtenwörth and will play in the 2. Klasse Triestingtal in the future.
New football club for Dominic Thiem!
The former tennis professional, who won the US Open in 2020, is moving from Lichtenwörth to Badener AC. Last season, Thiem scored one goal in ten games.
In the future, the 32-year-old will play in the 2. Klasse Triestingtal. He found his way there through a befriended player.
"Must fight for a starting spot"
However, to earn a starting spot, he first has to prove himself: "We have heard that he is also a good footballer," said section head Sergej Petrovic.
"He has a friend in the club and I also assume that he will really play here. But everyone has to fight for a starting spot with us," he added.
