Bizarre: A baby suddenly appears on the field in MLS
A baby wandered onto the pitch during the match between the San Jose Earthquakes and Minnesota United.
A bizarre scene unfolded in MLS last week: Minnesota United was leading the San Jose Earthquakes 5-1 when, in stoppage time, a baby suddenly ran onto the field in front of the penalty box.
"Oh... there's a baby on the field," commented Kyndra de St. Aubin on "Apple TV". Stadium staff ran onto the pitch, picked up the baby, and handed it over to a woman on the sidelines.
According to "The Athletic", it was the third time since 2021 that a baby ran onto the pitch during an MLS game.
Former Sturm player Kelvin Yeboah scored twice in Minnesota's 5-1 victory in San Jose.
