Inter Miami celebrated the biggest victory in club history early Sunday morning with a 7-1 win against CF Montreal.
Superstar Lionel Messi once again put on a great performance, contributing four goals (40th, 52nd, 83rd, 90th+) and an assist (80th).
Former Real midfielder Casemiro opened the scoring with a header from a corner (20th).

Then the Messi show began. The 2022 World Champion converted a free-kick into the near corner (40th). Montreal's Luca Petrasso confused his goalkeeper, inadvertently assisting with the goal.
After the restart, the exceptional talent Messi dribbled past three opponents in the box and completed his brace (52nd).
In the closing stages, Messi set up Luis Suarez's goal (80th). He then chipped the ball in for a hat-trick (83rd) and crowned his performance with another free-kick goal in stoppage time (90th+6).
"That's exactly what it means to have Messi in the team," said goal-scorer Casemiro after the match on "Apple TV". "We have to enjoy these moments, because he is a human, a player who is making history."

After 22 played matches, Inter Miami is currently in second place in the Eastern Conference. They are ten points behind leader Nashville SC. Messi & Co. will soon be coached by Argentine Cristian "Kily" Gonzalez.
