Clear Defeat! ÖFB International Wanner Loses in Supercup
For the ÖFB international and Eindhoven, the start of the competitive season proves to be extremely unfavorable.

The ÖFB international, playing for PSV Eindhoven, lost clearly 0:4 against AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Supercup. Thus, the champions lost to the cup winners.
Early Red Card
The game-deciding moment came after just nine minutes. Joey Veerman (Eindhoven) struck an opponent excessively hard in the face with an open sole and, naturally, received a straight red card.
Alkmaar logically took advantage of their numerical superiority and celebrated a clear victory. Meerdink, Patati, Dijkstra, and Daal scored for AZ in the Johan Cruyff Shield.
Wanner was only substituted in after the 0:3 goal in the 63rd minute and could no longer avert the clear defeat.
