Baumgartner Debuts in Defeat
The former WAC captain had to sit out the start of the season, but he is now making his Ekstraklasa debut.
KS Cracovia suffered their second defeat of the current season on Saturday, on matchday 6 of the Polish Ekstraklasa.
They lost 1:2 away to Radomiak Radom.
Although the result was ultimately not satisfactory from Cracovia's perspective, it was a special match for one Austrian: Dominik Baumgartner celebrated his competitive debut for Cracovia in the 66th minute.
Yellow Card on Debut
The 30-year-old from Waldviertel had to sit out the first few games of the season due to injury, but Baumgartner has been back in training for a few weeks now – and so he makes his Ekstraklasa debut for the brother of Austrian national team player Christoph Baumgartner.
On his debut, the central defender, who moved to Poland from Wolfsberger AC on a free transfer in the summer, immediately received a yellow card in the 77th minute.
Dijon Kameri, the second Austrian in the Cracovia squad, also came on in the 83rd minute.
After six games, Cracovia are in fifth place in the Polish Ekstraklasa with eight points.
