New club for Austrian international Ervin Omic (23)!

The former U21 international leaves Wisla Krakow (Poland) and joins Romanian top club CFR Cluj.

The official statement from the Romanian club speaks of a transfer. Previously, the Polish medium "transfery.info" reported a loan.

The duration of the contract is unknown. Omic made 21 appearances for Wisla Krakow last season, and at the end of the season, the second-division team achieved promotion to the top flight.

No International Competition

In Romania, Omic now joins last season's third-placed team. In the season before that, they finished as runners-up. CFR Cluj won their last of eight championship titles in 2021/22.

Nevertheless, the club is not competing internationally this year. In the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, the club was clearly defeated by Norwegian representative Tromsø IL (aggregate score: 1:7).

Omic won the UNIQA ÖFB Cup with WAC in 2025, and he spent three years with the Carinthians. Before that, the defensive midfielder was trained by SV Ried, Red Bull Salzburg, and Juventus Turin.
